Using Flipgrid in my classroom.

My first experience ever using Flipgrid was in 2019, if I was not mistaken. It was introduced by a speaker during a short course in BTP KL. It was quite fun and funny experience. The excitement of posting the videos and then get video responses from your friends were quite amusing. But until this year. I finally manage to use it with my students. I use Flipgrid for speaking practices now. Students can send their own videos and their friends can leave comments and likes. Just like any other social medias, but this one is exclusively for their class only. In addition, it can also syncronise easily with the Google Classroom. Flipgrid can helps students to practice their given task included maybe on describing what they learned, explain how what they learned relates to their own experiences, and indicate areas where they need clarification or additional resources. This is a great time for students to use their voice to connect ideas to their own experiences. Nevertheless, the practical experience of using it was nothing close to the perfect descriptions of all the theories. As for my Form 5 students, they seemed to be so shy that only one of them turned on the camera and recorded himself, for others, they only gave me voice recording🙄. Well, that will never demotivated me not to try all my best in the future! Chaiyok...
